#mysterylocation ! Where have I been wandering today to soak up a bit of inspiration? And jolly inspiring it was too. No prizes for guessing correctly but you have my permission to feel very smug. I was very pleased to be asked to tell a couple of stories alongside the insanely talented Swan and Dyer. They were as amazing as ever last night @burtonfolkclub . If you haven't heard them, check them out! Thank you also to Geoff Noble who started us off with some cracking folk and hosted so wonderfully. Finally managed to find out way to this magnificent statue! The statue of Sleipnir in Wednesbury is a 1998 stainless steel sculpture by artist Steve Field, commissioned by Altram to celebrate the West Midlands Metro and pay homage to the town’s name, which is derived from the Anglo-Saxon god Woden (Odin). "Wednesbury" means "Woden's Burh" or hill, Sleipnir, Odin's eight-legged horse, symbolizes the area's industrial dynamism, speed, and heritage. It's a beautiful day in the Midlands of the UK and I'm on a quest. I've seen pictures of a huge sculpture of Sleipnir, Odin's 8 legged horse, high on a hill in Wednesbury. Time to go and find it! Thank you Ingrid Wagner for this review of my workshop at @writer_types_stafford . A very busy week. On Wednesday I was invited to bring my Introduction to Storytelling workshop to Stafford to work with @writer_types_stafford at the wonderful @theswanstafford . What a wonderful group of people! Some lovely feedback afterwards and lots of fun and laughter during the workshop. Love my job. Sometimes you just know that a show is going to be a keeper. A sold out show of "Legends of Loki and Thor" @erasmusdlichfield tonight was deliciously playful, with lots of audience engagement, poignant moments and great humor. First time out for new sets are always interesting, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I'm looking forward to it growing and refining in future tellings. Such great stories! Now S*LD *UT. Please don't accept any offers of tickets from any random comments as only tickets sold direct from the venue will be accepted. @erasmusdlichfield next Thursday! I have so enjoyed researching this particular world with all of it's tricks and mischief! A ribald set of stories! Link fur tickets in my bio. #thor #loki #asgard #norsemythology norsepagan Traditional storytelling for adults and teenagers next week at Lichfield's @erasmusdlichfield Erasmus Darwin House. Link for tickets in Bio.
