@festivalattheedge 2026 was absolutely wonderful! I had such a great time enjoying world class storytelling, meeting up with new friends new and old, listening to beautiful music, and generally having a relaxing weekend. Wonderful. @soryahh @jonbuckeridge @badenprincejr @mbagillen @ibbsshane @janet.crouch.9849 @amy_douglas_storyteller @philokwedy @merlfluin , @daisyeblack, @lisaschneidau and so many more who I can't find the right tags for! As an artist, I think it's really important to be part of an audience on a regular basis. There is always more to learn, new ideas to consider, and just to switch off and enjoy something is a great way to rest. Amazing storytelling from @katiearnstein and @lesleysmithhistorians at @thehubatstmarys and gorgeous music from @excathedra_choir and @katerusby at @lichfieldcathedral . All part of the wonderful @lichfieldfest , an event in my hometown that I have yet to play, but hope to soon! Thank you so much @shenstonelibrary for inviting me along to share stories on Monday. The children were wonderful, asking questions, joining in, and having a ball as they told stories themselves to each other. Wonderful stuff. Finally got to see @commoncultureband live - they were fabulous, and got to listen to and have a catch up with @markfraserstoryteller who told us some brilliant stories! What a beautiful place this is - go and find it, because they have all sorts of wonderful things happening there...thank you also to the lovely audience who came to chat afterwards and I had the most interesting talks during the interval! We moved out into the gardens where it was a little cooler, and then it rained and we had to move back under cover! Non the less the storytelling spell was not broken and the beautiful story unfolded around us as the evening cooled down... Wonderful stuff!
