25th June STORYTELLING AND MUSIC
A day at the Seaside – songs and stories for Midsummer at Tamworth Assembly Rooms. Ticket link below.
Sandcastles, donkey rides, iced cream! Deckchairs, fish and chips, and the fun fair!
And dad.
Join professional storyteller Maria Credali for a trip down memory lane, reliving the very best bits of the seaside in the 70s. Liberally sprinkled with traditional tales, you will be whisked away into a world full of lovelorn fishermen, mysterious mermaids, sand and sunshine.
Expect laughter, tears and lots of love.
Threaded through the stories, talented solo musician Dave Monks will be entertaining us with the ultimate summer playlist, featuring such classics as Under the Boardwalk, and Here comes the Sun.
“Glorious – an irresistible combination that drew the packed house into a vivid world of story”
“Beautiful storytelling so warm hearted and gentle…loved it”

Wednesday 30th April and Thursday 1st May STORYTELLING AND MUSIC
Songs and stories of Ireland
Join us for an evening of mesmerising storytelling, beautiful ballads and exquisite musicianship.
Jimmy Crowley and Eve Telford are a folk duo based in Co.Cork in Ireland. Jimmy has been at the heart of the Irish folk scene since 1977, a lauded preserver of the Irish traditional songs. Eve has a deep connection to the folk singers who have passed before and her melodies soar, perfectly complementing Jimmy’s musicianship. Their latest album “Hello” is a collection of child ballads gathered from Irish Travellers.
Maria Credali tells traditional and contemporary stories with a warm, engaging, and intimate style. Her storytelling has been described as spellbinding, mesmerising, and humorous. She has told stories for the Royal Shakespeare Company and many National and International storytelling festivals.
Stories, songs and music entwine beautifully to create a truly memorable and magical evening.
