Ignite their imaginations…

Relax and enjoy the performance! Maria will bring stories to life in your school. Watch your pupils excel as they enjoy exciting workshops, performances and projects. Traditional storytelling (performed, not read) is a fantastic way to increase the oracy skills of your pupils, increase their cultural capital, and develop their confidence. Oral storytelling works particularly well for those pupils who may struggle with written tasks, and those who find it difficult to focus. Stories gathered from all around the world are a great way to celebrate diversity whilst finding the common threads that link us all together.

“The children engaged really well with the workshop, they were happy to get involved with the activities planned by Maria. The session provided children the chance to reinforce their understanding of the story, which also supported their English work.” Joseph Turner Primary School.

The children had a wonderful time performing in front of a large and very appreciative audience at the festival.
